Innovation
Innovation, like nourishment for our mind, fills humans’ hunger and thirst in creature comforts, yet is not accessible to everyone as a common quality. How to think creatively? Generally speaking, do everybody did, think nobody thought, and maintain an intensive desire to improve the world you live in. I’m tempted to cite MaYun, the initiator of Alibaba, as a textbook model of what we can achieve through creative spirit. He started Alibaba in 1999, the year that Chinese network development was still in its infancy and the prospect of e-commerce seemed gloomy. He continued what he insists and opened up an embryo of e-commerce system in domestic market. With his infinite ambition and cautious management, we saw the flourishing of his enterprise with the each passing day. Today, Alibaba and its initiator MaYun have become two household names over the world. Accordingly, the more new things we try, the more inherently creative we become, the more incredible breakthroughs we achieve, both in workplace and personal lives.
Nowadays we have been used to the comfort brought by those social elites’ inspiration, but few of us are willing to think out of the box and create some distinct new careers. Rather than dismissing ourselves as unchangeable herd, we can instead consciously develop creative thinking and pioneering spirit at the beginning of concentration. Any activity becomes creative when we really care about doing it right, or better. Hence, knowing what we are good at and doing even more about it creates excellence. This is where developing innovation comes in.
