One morning, Sophia, listening to her good friend amber, said that she was going to attend the princess appraisal at two o 'clock this afternoon. 下午两点还没到，苏菲亚就早早来到了考核的地方。她刚走进门，就看到了许许多多的公主，她们都是为了考核而刻苦练习。两点终于到了，考核的老师也来了，她们先让各位小公主准备准备，免得公主们因紧张而通不过。过了几分钟考核就开始了。第一项练平衡力—头顶书从房间的一头走到另一头，要又快而且书本不能落地才算过关。苏菲亚是第一个通关的公主。第二项是比自己有没有爱心。翡翠仙子把自己变成搬运工请小公主们帮她搬砖头，而小公主听了就找了许多借口；腿痛不能运,手劲不大运不动等等。但只有苏菲亚一个人答应了。不久他们就出发了。过了一会儿搬运工说；“这儿离我的小屋不远了，你可以去参加你的公主考核了。”而苏菲亚说；“不行，俗话说帮忙帮到底，不能半途而废，所以我一定要帮你搬到小屋那儿。”他没办法只好让她搬到小屋那。最后苏菲亚知道那是翡翠仙子扮的很惊讶。他问翡翠仙子：“我的考核要重来吗？”而她却说；“其实这也是公主考核的一部分，我扮成搬运工就是想考考你们有没有爱心。但是只有一个小公主能放弃对自己事关重要的东西，来帮助别人，所以我宣布苏菲亚通过公主考核。”苏菲亚很高兴对自己说；“以后，一定要做更好的小公主。”
