My childhood was happy with my mother's love. In my young heart, my mother was strong and healthy, and never got sick. She took me to the kindergarten and home every day, in spite of rain and wind.
But one day, after we got home from the kindergarten, my mother went into the bedroom and stayed in bed. I didn't know what had happened. I sat beside her and wanted to cry. My mother said to me, "It doesn't matter, mum has only a stomachache. I will be all right after a while." Although mother said so, I found tears in her eyes because of pain.
At that time I knew adults also got ill and cried. I decided I would take care of my mother from then on.

我听了一直不信，这回非要亲自去上她的课。第一天上课时她就穿一身灰：灰大衣就像斗篷，灰帽子上还有几个褶，就像扬州灌汤包，穿着一双灰靴子，还戴着一副细边眼镜。如果再加上银白的胡子，那就是魔法学校的校长阿不思。登不利多了！
一上课，我就领略到英语曹的特点了。她上课从不是等学生举手再点名回答的。在她的课上回答问题从不用举手，要么直接站起来，要么就是“地毯式”提问，她的手挥到哪一排，那一整排的学生就是一个紧接一个机关枪扫射似得迅速回答，常常头一个还没说完，后一个都蹦起来了。没跟上的则站着再说一遍。大家一站一起，像在玩“打地鼠”一样，掀起一层波浪。这样就像铺地毯一样，哪个角落的学生回答不上？这样精神高度紧张，学生哪有走神的时间。既能让每个人都回答，又加快回答的时间，充大一节课的容量。能不一下上完三节课吗？
英语曹除了课上得快，记单词也快。她常常用谐音或小故事来记。像国籍这个单词，被她用谐音记成“奶昔奶利提”她说这像一种糖的名字，我们对甜食感兴趣就会记得快。比如“通常”这个词她是这样记的“usua”就是“有儿有女”，因为这个人既生男孩又女孩，所以后面“lly”就是他高兴笑得直打嗝。有时她为了让我们记忆深刻，让我们边做动作边记，她自己甚至会在讲台上挑起舞来。经过她这样声情并茂的记法，记单词果然不费事了。
她不仅教得快，且风趣幽默，语言丰富。她看有的同学并不认真学，就用满口的淮南方言说：“你们要是不学，为什么还交钱来上课？就像你去买菜，你对卖菜的说只把钱扔给他，不拿走菜，根本不管菜一样，傻不傻”。同学们听了都笑了。
